Who, Why and What the Hell.
More about the mysterious personality that tries to fix the unfixable
Hey there!
Let me start by saying, I’m not the most comic-avid gentleman out there. I kid you not. Despite this, I’ve been a comic enthusiast for the past 30 years. Ask me about the best reading order for a comic series, and I’ll probably stare at you like a deer caught in headlights on a busy highway.
You might be wondering, “Why should I follow you through this comics journey?” Well, let me share a bit about my story.
First off, I haven’t met a lot of comic geeks who genuinely wanted to create something like this. So, if you’re looking for insightful, relatable, and down-to-earth comic content, your options are limited—and that’s where I come in.
Having been lost in the vast universe of comics myself, I understand how overwhelming it can be. My main goal is to make navigating this world easier for you. Whether you’re a seasoned reader or someone just dipping their toes into the comics pool, I’m here to guide you through it all.
Four years ago, I became a dad to multiples, which took my comic journey on a loooong pause. When I finally returned, it felt like I had missed a decade. If newsletters like mine had existed back then, my comeback would have been much smoother and more straightforward.
What You Can Expect
My aim is to keep you actively informed about everything happening in the comic universe with:
Flash News: Quick updates on the latest happenings.
Updates: Detailed information on upcoming releases and industry changes.
Reviews: Honest and insightful reviews of the comics I’ve read.
Previews: Sneak peeks into future releases.
Podcast Episodes: Occasionally, I’ll share podcast episodes featuring interviews with our favorite authors and artists.
Imagine This Scenario
It’s Wednesday morning. You’re riding the train to work or taking a lunch break, trying to remember the last time you had fun. Peter Parker comes to mind. You haven’t picked up a comic in over three years. What is that old, albeit friendly, neighbor doing now? What series are we at? Which teams? The questions are endless.
Now, imagine the same scenario, but you’re signed up to my newsletter. Every Wednesday morning, you get an email notification on your phone saying, “It’s time to update your comic knowledge database within 5 minutes.” So, while you’re eating your last night’s reheated lasagna, you read or listen to me ramble on about the industry labyrinth.
Whether you’re rekindling your love for comics or just starting out, 101Comics is here to make your journey enjoyable and effortless. Let’s explore the vibrant world of comics together, one week at a time.
